The Palak Triple-Match
Consistency is the whole job. Every lot we sell is tasted three times, and it has to match at each step.
Offer sample
Samples arrive from 400+ gardens. Rahul Jhawar and our tasters cup each one for strength, colour, aroma and body. Only lots that meet a buyer’s standard are bought.
Purchase sample
When the lot reaches Siliguri, its purchase sample is tasted side by side with the original offer sample. If it doesn’t match, the lot is rejected.
Bag sample
Before dispatch, tea drawn from your actual bags is matched against the purchase sample. What reaches you is what was approved.
If a lot doesn’t match, it doesn’t ship.

We buy from 400+ gardens across Assam and the Dooars, and source orthodox, green and white teas from Darjeeling and the Himalayan region. That range lets us build the cup your market wants and keep it the same all year.
Assam
Strong and malty, with a thick, deep-coloured liquor. The backbone of a kadak blend.
The Dooars
Bright and brisk, with quick colour and a lighter body. Good value, and the base of many everyday blends.
Darjeeling and the Himalayas
Light, floral and aromatic orthodox teas, from first flush to muscatel second flush, plus green and white teas.
Lab-tested every six months. Reports shared on request.
Through the season, and through the winter
Gardens in Assam, the Dooars and Darjeeling stop plucking in winter. We hold stock through the closure, so regular buyers keep getting the same tea in January and February.

What is the minimum order for wholesale tea from Palak Tea Co.?
60 kg for CTC. Bulk CTC ships in 10 kg and 35 kg bags. Minimums for leaf and specialty teas vary by tea, and for private label they depend on the pack format; we keep them low for new brands.
How much tea can Palak Tea Co. supply?
Up to 1,000 tonnes a month. We hold large stocks all year, including through the winter months when the gardens stop plucking, so regular buyers are not left short.
Which CTC tea grades do you supply?
BOP, BOPSM, BP, OF, PD and Dust, from both Assam and the Dooars, as single grades or blends. We also make custom blends for regional tastes, such as family, hotel and premium blends.
Do you supply green, white, oolong and other leaf teas wholesale?
Yes. Alongside CTC we supply orthodox black tea (Assam, Darjeeling first and second flush, Himalayan), green tea (Darjeeling, Dooars, Himalayan), white tea, oolong, flavoured teas and herbal teas, loose by the kilo or packed under your brand.
Do you supply Darjeeling tea in bulk?
Yes. We supply Darjeeling black tea, including first flush and second flush, and Darjeeling green tea, for retail brands, hotels, gifting and export.
Do you supply flavoured and herbal teas for cafés and private label?
Yes. We supply flavoured green teas such as jasmine, rose, lemon, mint and tulsi; flavoured chai such as masala, elaichi and kesariya; Kashmiri kahwa; and herbal teas such as chamomile, hibiscus, blue pea and lavender. All are available loose or packed under your brand.
How do you keep the quality the same from one order to the next?
Every lot is tasted three times. We taste the garden's offer sample, then match the purchase sample against it when the lot arrives, then match tea drawn from your actual bags against the purchase sample before dispatch. A lot that fails any step does not ship. Our team tastes more than 1,000 cups a day.
Is your tea lab tested?
Yes. Our teas are lab-tested every six months, and we share the reports with buyers on request.
Which certifications and licences do you hold?
We are ISO 9001:2015 certified, FSSAI licensed and licensed by the Tea Board of India. Our facility is USFDA registered, and we are HALAL and HACCP certified. We are members of the Siliguri Tea Auction Committee (STAC) and the Siliguri Tea Traders Association (STTA).
How much can I save compared with local vendors?
Buyers typically save ₹15–20 per kg compared with buying from local vendors, because we buy direct from the gardens with no middlemen. At 500 kg a month, that is ₹90,000 to ₹1,20,000 a year.
Can I taste the tea before I order?
Yes. We send samples of the grades or blends that fit your requirement. Cafés and hotels can start with the ₹300 sample pack, which is credited against your first order of 35 kg or more.
How long are your rates valid?
Once you approve a sample, we hold your rate for 30 days.
Do you make private label tea?
Yes. We pack CTC, green, black, herbal and flavoured teas under your brand, in 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg retail packs or 5 kg, 10 kg and 35 kg bags, with design and packaging support and a low minimum for new brands.
Do you supply cafés, hotels and restaurants?
Yes. We supply fast-boiling CTC blends made for quick service and a strong cup, plus masala, elaichi and flavoured blends. Every batch is matched to the last, so the taste your customers know doesn't change.
Do you export tea?
Yes. We export CTC, orthodox, green, white, oolong, flavoured and herbal teas to the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia. Our facility is USFDA registered, we are HALAL and HACCP certified, and we hold an Import Export Code (IEC) and a Tea Board of India licence. Our team prepares the export documentation. Samples go by DHL or FedEx, and bulk orders ship in full containers (FCL).
How fast do you dispatch?
Within 24–48 hours of payment. Delivery across India takes 7–8 days by road through GATI, TCI, Blue Dart, Delhivery, VRL, Bajaj Parivahan, Bajaj Express and Greatway India Transport. International timelines depend on the destination and shipping mode.
